Tech gears up for Tuesday’s ACC Tipoff – VT hokiesports.com

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech men’s basketball head coach Mike Young, along with redshirt senior Keve Aluma and graduate student Justyn Mutts, will represent the Hokies at the 2021 ACC Basketball Tipoff on Tuesday, Oct. 12 in Charlotte, N.C.

The Tech trio will attend along with head coaches and select student-athletes from the other 14 ACC men’s basketball programs (full list of attendees). Packer and Durham and Nothing But Net will be live from the Charlotte Marriott City Center with coverage on ACC Network for the annual men’s basketball season preview event. Mark Packer and Wes Durham will be onsite live from 7-11 a.m. ET, and will deliver their usual commentary while welcoming ACC coaches and players from around the league.
 
Kelsey Riggs will host Nothing But Net from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. alongside Carlos Boozer and Dalen Cuff. In addition, Seth Greenberg and other men’s college basketball personalities will contribute as well. Aluma and Mutts will join the ACCN live set at 12:30 p.m. ET, while Coach Young will go on at 3:30 p.m. ET.
 
ACCN will carry ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips’ opening remarks live beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Phillips is also slated to appear on Nothing But Net Tuesday afternoon.
 
All ACC men’s basketball head coaches’ and participating student-athletes’ press conferences Tuesday will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX), the network’s digital platform available on the ESPN App to authenticated subscribers.
 
ESPN.com will have additional coverage from Charlotte with ESPN College Basketball Insider Jeff Borzello reporting on all of the key storylines as teams prepare for the 2021-22 season.

Aluma and Mutts are two of the seven returners set to play for the Hokies, who open the 2021-22 season Tuesday, Nov. 9 versus Maine at Cassell Coliseum. Young is entering his 20th season as a head coach and third on the Tech sideline.
